至于说摩托车驾照,那比汽车容易太多。汽车即便是自学,你总得花一个月左右的时间练习,才能又把握去DMV(车管局)考路考,能否考出有时还得凭运气。有人考3,4次还还考不出。而摩托车驾照则太容易了,你根本不用参加DMV的路考,只要上三天MSF的课(在加州200-300美元),通过了就可直接到DMV拿驾照。就像我拿到摩托车驾照的时候其实连上路都不敢,只是乘没人的时候在住宅区小路上练了好几天才敢走大路。
这里限小排那只是指上高速公路,小排(250cc以下)速度达不到高速公路上的车流速度,小排上去那就等于自杀。政府即便不限,也没人敢骑小排上。而在中国,法定摩托车在高速速度不能超过80公里,而汽车则可开到120公里,这明显就是对摩托车的歧视。摩托车在高速公路低速行驶,这本身就是一种危险,中国政府制定法律那帮人都是脑残。
总之美国就是摩托车的天堂,而加州更是天堂的天堂。
~呵呵,同意南加摩友的看法。美国绝对没有变相禁魔,有次我们实验室的韩国同学问我最远骑摩托去过哪,我说匹兹堡,他说上高速吗,我说上。结果他表示非常惊讶,说摩托车不能上高速!(可见韩国也不让摩托上高速)。这时我们美国同学过来了,表示很不解的问那韩国人Why?(为什么?),韩国人说bike(他指摩托车)不能上高速,太危险。美国同学说:This is not bike, It's motorcycle, motorized and can go anywhere. (这不是自行车,是摩托车,是发动机驱动的能去任何你想去的地方!),可见美国人的大脑里潜意识的就根本没有摩托车不能上高速的观念。他们认为摩托和汽车一样,哪里都能去。

关于移民和原住民这个确实我不知道,但我觉得年轻人选择跑车款式的多,大块头老美选择巡航款式的多。

美国人即便有摩托车,也很少会长途摩旅,毕竟长途跋涉,汽车要舒适得多,风雨无阻。摩托车基本上只在城市或附近骑,真正到了离城市较远的州际高速公路上,基本上看不到摩托车。
